About the event

A selection of images from one of the longest running county magazines, Cheshire Life, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

The exhibition has been curated by University of Chester lecturers Dr Matt Davies and Dr Naomi Walker in collaboration with Cheshire Life expert Dr Andrew Hobbs (University of Central Lancashire).  The images on display are part of a longer-term University of Chester project to digitise historic issues of Cheshire Life, in partnership with Cheshire Life and Cheshire Archives & Local Studies. The exhibition has been jointly funded by grants from the University of Chester, University of Central Lancashire and Cheshire Life.

On Friday 21 June, the current editor of Cheshire Life, Joanne Goodwin, will be in conversation at 11:45 in the Garret Theatre, as part of the festival’s Talking Chester event.
