About the event

Word on the Street is a night of spoken word inspired by Chester.

Hosted at South Indian comfort food restaurant, Dabba, a fully accessible venue, you will have the option to buy food and drinks while listening to the performances. Start Time; 6pm for food, readings begin at 7.30pm.

Taking part this year will be writers from Testify, Chester’s regular spoken-word event, and Chester Writers, led by group organiser Jane Brocklehurst.

The evening will be hosted by regular Testify MC, Colin South.

Venue capacity, 34 and the event is first come, first served. This is a drop-in event, so no booking is required. Visitors are welcome to read their own contributions as part of the evening and should do so by making theirselves known to Colin at 7pm. The event is expected to end around 9.30 pm.
