Time & Location

10 Sept 2024, 17:00 – 19:00

Chester Castle Propylaeum, Chester CH1 2DN, UK

About the event

An informative 3 ½ mile walk exploring the River Dee and the canalside, looking at how they have changed over time. The Dee has long provided citizens with a means of transport, trading links, leisure, and of course, food and water. The canal, originally constructed for industrial use, now serves a different purpose. Both river and canal, and the areas surrounding them, have altered through the centuries and our predecessors would have trouble recognising the city today!

The route is not accessible due to several flights of steps.

Wear comfortable shoes.
