About the event

In a series of short videos, Paul Hyde, former Heritage Interpretation Officer for Chester City Council and renowned guide, takes us on a journey to some possibly lesser known aspects of the city’s history and heritage.

Visit Edgar's Field, part of the Roman quarry when rock formations were once desert and the Water Tower, which was originally surrounded by the river and part of Chester's port.

Learn about Grosvenor Park Lodge, John Douglas’s first commission for the Grosvenor family and the south-east Angle Tower, which helps identify the location of the Roman fortress, and discover hidden secrets on the Walls and Rows.

Each film will be released on YouTube and social media during the festival.
